AI-native agency: an agency that looks like a software company
What an AI-native agency is, how it differs from a classic agency and what it means for companies buying services. Based on Aaron Epstein (Y Combinator).

The Vibe Company is an AI-native agency. We went through Y Combinator (W24), and we deliver software the way a software company does. Small senior teams, coding agents producing every day, and people who scope, review and sign off on every delivery.
If you're a mid-size or large company looking for a partner, here's what that means for you.
What Y Combinator sees coming
Aaron Epstein, a partner at Y Combinator, dedicated a Request for Startups to AI-native agencies. His diagnosis: agencies have always been "crazy hard to scale." Low margins, slow manual work, and only one way to grow: adding people.
AI changes that. Instead of selling clients software that helps them do the work, the agency uses the software itself. It sells the finished product, at "100x the price." His examples: a design firm producing custom work before the contract is signed, an ad agency making video ads without a physical shoot, a law firm writing legal documents in minutes rather than weeks.
His conclusion: the agencies of the future will look like software companies, "with software margins," and will grow far bigger than today's.
That's the model we built The Vibe Company on.
How we deliver at The Vibe Company
Small senior teams. No pyramid of juniors billed by the day. Every project is run by experienced people who understand the business as well as the code.
Coding agents, every day. Agents write, test and iterate. They produce much of the code. That's how we move fast without growing the team.
The team scopes, reviews and signs off. Agents produce, people decide. Nothing ships without being reviewed by someone accountable for it.
You see it early. We show you a first version or a working prototype from the start, often before the scope is locked. You judge on real work, not on slides.
Three specialties: HDS and security, frontend, DevOps. In these areas, rigor matters as much as speed.
Our agents don't start from scratch. We give them skills: ready-to-use instructions and tools for a specific task, which we write ourselves and use on every project. We've been refining them for months, project after project, so every engagement benefits from what we learned on the previous ones. We manage and share them with Skillpack, the tool we built for that.
One example: with Monka, a health platform already HDS-certified, the challenge was to build fast without stepping outside that framework. On a project like that, agents speed up production, and the team stays in control of everything that touches health data. The details are in our article on AI and health data under HDS.

Why it's better for you
You buy an outcome, not person-days. With a classic agency, you pay for time spent. With us, you pay for what gets delivered: a product that runs.
You see before you sign. Producing costs less, so we can show you something concrete very early. You decide based on what you've seen, not on a promise.
Human review stays. Moving fast doesn't mean shipping unchecked. Every delivery is reviewed and approved by the team, to the standard your security and compliance teams expect.
Who we are
The Vibe Company was founded in Paris in 2024 by Stan Girard and Antoine Dewez (ex-Theodo, ex-Stockly). We went through Y Combinator (W24), raised $1.7M and are backed by France 2030 through MediaGen. We've run dozens of projects, and each one taught us something about working this way.
FAQ
Is an AI-native agency just an agency that uses ChatGPT?
No. AI is at the core of production. Coding agents produce every day, and the team is organized around them to scope, review and sign off.
Who is accountable for what's delivered?
The team. Agents produce, but every delivery is reviewed and approved by a senior person.
Do you work with sensitive data?
Yes. HDS and security are one of our three specialties, alongside frontend and DevOps.
